A coloring page fails in one specific way: an area too small to get a pencil into. It is invisible on screen and obvious the moment someone tries to color it. Before anything is published here, the artwork is laid out at print size, every enclosed area is measured, and the largest circle that fits inside the smallest one is recorded. That number is printed on the page.
These pages are drawn by an image model and then measured the same way. A drawing whose smallest area will not take a pencil tip is discarded rather than published, and the eye-sized holes a drawing needs — a pupil, a nostril — are filled solid instead of being left as areas nobody could color.
